GlobalBased Technologies is a growing technology firm based in American Fork, Utah. As our Front-end Developer and Web Designer you will be creating and maintaining state-of-the-art web applications and user interfaces for several divisions of our company. You will be working with the Development team and Creative Director in day-to-day operations and management of the GUI on web applications.

Required Skills

• Proficient in writing semantic, accessible CSS and (X)HTML according to web standards, and a strong knowledge of DOM
• Experience designing intuitive and creative user interfaces for advanced applications and websites
• Basic knowledge of JavaScript and applicable libraries (jQuery)
• Strong knowledge of Photoshop and optimization of web graphics
• Knowledge of usability and what makes a good user interaction and experience
• A keen eye for thoughtful design, layout, typography, color, and space
• The ability to tolerate debugging for other browsers, especially Internet Explorer… it’s got to be done
• Strong portfolio of both front-end development and web design (it will be reviewed)
• Be a team player, a good communicator, and not afraid to share your opinion
• Creative thinking and good problem solving skills
• If you don’t know how to do something, you look up best practices, and do them

Huge Pluses

• Familiarity with Ruby on Rails environmen
• Knowledge of SVN version management
• Understanding of mobile optimization of websites
• Knowledge of Flash
