User Experience Designer at Zindagi in San Francisco, CA
Are you naturally empathetic and passionate about people? Do you like to solve complex problems? Do you find yourself shouting “poor user experience” in completely inappropriate situations? If these qualities describe you then please read further. We are a San Francisco-based, early stage start up focused on helping high school students to make better financial decisions.
We are looking for a User Experience Designer to help us develop a UI prototype for our concept. The ideal candidate will be able to take cool ideas and deliver an end to end user experience. They will be able to identify user needs and turn them into requirements, scenarios and a usable web application.
This is a contract position that may convert to full time upon funding
Responsibilities
· Be the user advocate in the organization
· Translate cool ideas into an end to end user experience
· Listen to users and translate insights into design solutions
· Simulate and communicate your design
· Work closely with Product Development to execute designs
Requirements
· Skill and passion for a large portion of the design spectrum (information architecture, interaction design, and graphic design)
· A good understanding of design specifications such as use cases, scenarios, site maps, flow diagrams, wireframes, prototypes, etc
· Experience with ethnographic and usability studies
· Ability to hand code HTML/CSS and basic JavaScript knowledge
· Experience designing educational products a plus
